Mr. Justice BAMBATHA Ts’ita

LEFA’s founder President

In 1992, the Lesotho Football Association was founded by the late Mr. Justice BAMBATHA Ts’ita.  Due to his dedicated support and hard work to the Football development in the country, he continuously won the elections for presidency which were held every two years in 1992, 1994, until 1996 when he passed away.

Before LEFA

Prior to becoming the president of LEFA, Mr. Bambatha was the president of the Lioli Football Club, located in the Lesotho district called Teyateyaneng, and had consequently seen this team to its many victories in the 80’s.

 

 

One of the highlights of the recent past was the opening of the new Lesotho FIFA Stadium by FIFA President Mr. Josef Blatter in 2002. The stadium is named after the founder president as  « Bambatha Ts’ita Sports Arena »
