In Year 2000, for the first time, Likuena was a finalist in the COSAFA Castle Cup!

In its game with Zimbabwe, Lesotho lost 3-0 home, and won 3-0 away.  Coaches were Mr. Monyane and Mr. M. Matete, while Mr. Masimong was Goal Keeper Coach!

These games were played in Zambia (June 2005), with Malawi (COSAFA Castle Cup, score Lesotho lost 2-1)

 

2005

Lesotho played in the qualifying games for the Africa u-17 Championships in Gambia (May 7-22), and qualified.  However, it withdrew from its game with Angola in the first round.
