The under 20 National side is also known as Makoanyane xi. It is one of the most promising teams in the country with a track record of victories in the matches it has played in all major fixtures. The team was assembled in 2003 after graduating from under 17 national side. Among the major tournaments it has participated in are the COSAFA Cup and reached the semi finals emerging out at 4th place.
Again in 2004, the team participated in the Mozambique zone six tournament where there were 13 countries participating, again they came in 5th position. In January 2005, went to display their skills in Benin and came back victorious as usual.
· They have played a series of touraments since the beginning of the year including the Lesotho Eastern Cape friendly games, beating the Eastern Cape selection a good 3-0. They played South African Universities under 20 beating them a clean 3-1.
· They again played South Africa under 20 at Orlando stadium whipping them a nasty 3-1 and 1-0 home and away.
· The latest victims were the Amaglug-glug of South Africa crashing them with a victorious 3-0, 2-1 finish home and away.
· Currently, the boys are preparing for the upcoming COSAFA Youth Champions League to be held in Durban from the 3-12 December. |

· In 1995 when it played Under 20 COSAFA Castle Cup, it attained position 3 and got a Bronze, playing (Zimbabwe, Zambia, SA, Botswana, Mozambique) · In 1999 in reached the semi-finals in South Africa for the Under 20 COSAFA Castle Cup, lost to Zambia 2-0 · In 2003 on same competition, they got to semi final and lost to South Africa 5-3 on penalties. · In 2004 for the first time, it qualified for African Youth Championship held in Benin which was held in January 2005. In their group (Egypt, Morocco, Angola, Lesotho) it beat Angola 2-1, then attained position 3. In all Africa, it became position 5. |

Unofficial Games Early this year 2005, Lesotho beat South Africa twice on Wednesday (1-0) and Saturday (2-1) in South Africa. In August 2005, South Africa was in Lesotho and lost 2-1 on Friday to Lesotho, Sunday it lost to Lesotho 3-0 |
