Mr. Thabo MAKAKOLE

President

In 1997, Mr. Thabo Makakole was elected president of LEFA, and was subsequently selected every two years of election until 2004 when he passed away.  He was known for his passion on instilling at all costs, the drive to give a meaning for the game to footballers in Lesotho.

Before LEFA

Prior to becoming the president of LEFA, Mr. Makakole was the president of the Arsenal Football Club, located in the Maseru, Lesotho.  Through his support, this team became one of the best in country in the 90’s.

 

 

Mr. Thabo Makakole’s life was taken immediately after his return from a mission for LEFA towards clarifying the internal disputes that were ongoing between executive members, and the concerns on the policies governing the direction of the football association.
